• Determine your professional eligibility. Most Project Managers in Asia would have a bachelor’s degree and hence would require 4500 Project Management hours of experience. The most commonly method to compute the 4500 hours is to take each day of project management work for 8 contact hours hours and take an average of 22 working days each month. This computation would typically require a Project Manager to have spent approx. 2.5 year in active Project Management.
  • The individual need to accumulate a 35 Professional Development Units. These may be compiled through attending courses on Project Management etc. The
    most common method of such collection is to attend
    a PMP Contact Hours Training from a Registered
    Education Provider.

Lastly, the individual has to take the exam and pass the exam.
The passing mark is 61 and the candidate has to answer 200 multiple choice questions in four hours. On passing the exam,
the individual is deemed as a PMP.
