5 Things You Do on Facebook That You Must Stop Doing NOW

4) Mentioning random people on random posts

Well, the posts may not necessarily be random. Nonetheless, there are instances when people don’t necessarily want to be included on a particular post or update. If it is an invitation, that’s totally fine since it is already acceptable in Facebook. However, if it is about soliciting a like for a photo or page or a vote for some sort of contests, it is very unbecoming.

People don’t want to be addressed in this way. Thus, stop typing the “@” symbol and then a person’s name on your posts. Personalize the message by going to a person’s timeline or though chatting with him or her.

There is no clear way to get rid of this. The best thing to do is to block that person especially if he or she keeps on mentioning you and flooding your wall with unrelated and irrelevant posts.
